Our tyres are regularly tested by independent tyre testers such as magazines and professional organizations on very strict criteria to assess their quality.
Since 2015, Michelin has obtained more than 60 test wins at European tyre tests thanks to the high level of performance of our tyres. Michelin was awarded as 2020 "Summer Manufacturer of the Year" and 2020 "Winter Manufacturer of the Year" by AUTO BILD magazine.

Winter tyres, summer tyres and all-season tyres are tested on several criteria by independent organizations and magazines such as ADAC, AUTO BILD and AUTO MOTOR SPORT, but many more tests are carried out each year.
The criteria vary according to the testers and the chosen tyre type.
Depending on the type of tyre, a scale is defined to weight the different themes (snow, dry, wet, etc.) and performance according to common usage of this tyre type and consumer expectations.
To have the most objective and independent results, these organizations carry out all these tests with tyres purchased on the market, with professional pilots, in stable weather conditions, with the same vehicle, the same methodology, on the same track, the same day. All this to limit as much as possible the external influences on the results.
The test conditions are monitored and standardized.
Reference tyres are tested and retested before and after each series to ensure the stability of the results under these conditions.
